Meet the Specialists
Xue Er
Xue Er holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology from Nanyang Technological University. During her undergraduate studies, Xue Er built a strong foundation in child development and psychology through modules such as Child Psychopathology, Clinical Psychology, and Cognitive Development. These experiences deepened her understanding of children’s learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Xue Er completed an internship with the Singapore Ministry of Education as a lesson planning assistant. She supported the development of intervention packages for children with Chinese reading difficulties and assisted in conducting dyslexia assessments in Singapore primary schools.
Xue Er currently also serves as the Supervisor of the Social Skills Department at Nurture Pods Singapore. She is also registered as a licensed practitioner member of the Malaysian Psychotherapy Association. Xue Er has been working with Nurture Pods since 2020, delivering both individual and group-based intervention programmes. She works with children with diverse developmental profiles, focusing on social skills development, emotional regulation, and behaviour management using evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies. She places strong emphasis on tailoring interventions to each child’s unique strengths and needs to promote socially meaningful progress and improve overall quality of life.
