Jing Yi

Jing Yi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan. She is deeply passionate about working with children with special needs and finds great fulfilment in witnessing their progress, no matter how small each improvement may be.

Jing Yi has been a professional member of the Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (OT Malaysia) since 2015. With over five years of experience as an occupational therapist in private therapy centres in Malaysia and Singapore, she has supported children aged 0 to 18 with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, and other developmental challenges.

She specialises in the DIR/Floortime approach and believes it forms an essential foundation for building higher-level developmental functions. Jing Yi strongly believes that without a solid foundation, children may need to put in double the effort for half the outcome. Therefore, her therapy approach prioritises addressing core DIR/Floortime stages, particularly when working with children at lower developmental levels.
