We were initially looking to enroll our son in a social skills class when we came across Nurture Pods’ website. After the initial assessment, Alex thoughtfully advised us that what our son truly needed was Intensive Therapy, as he had a very short attention span and was still nonverbal. We appreciated his honest and professional recommendation. Without delay, Alex designed a personalized home-based therapy program, and we began sessions immediately. I would rate them 5 because, * The patient analysis is so detailed * The material provided by the therapists are so good and innovative * The disciplie and timings is so perfect * The best is the feedback of each session is so granular at each task level and than the comparison from previous session. This gives us clear picture if the children is going into the right direction * Both Alex and Therapists are so flexible and supportive with the timinings and managing feedback * Definitely would recommend this centre. * Above all, early treatment is so important that most of the parents feel guilt later for delaying it for various reasons. I enrolled my son at Nurture Pods in March 2024 through a friend’s referral. Prior to that, he was attending another early intervention centre but not showing much improvement . After consultation with Alex, R was put in ABA therapy home-based learning programme with Teacher Xue Er. She was incredibly patient, and my son really enjoyed his time with her—he always looked forward to their sessions after third session. In July, we transitioned him to the classroom programme at Nurture Pods at Eng Aun Mansion, and I’ve never looked back. The progress he’s made has been remarkable—from not being able to recognise alphabets to now being able to read simple sentences. Even his preschool teachers have noticed a significant improvement in his speech and behaviour. I’m truly grateful to all the teachers who have supported him on this journey. We have started engaging with Alex and team since Jul'2020 for ABA home therapy for our daughter. Alex was patient in explaining his assessment, the tailored program planned for our girl and the targeted results to be achieved. This customized approach definitely helps to assure us parents on getting the right program for our girl. The therapists are friendly, experienced and competent. Our girl loves the sessions, and go willingly into the session by her own! Debrief was done after each session, both verbally and through messages to detail on how our girl fare during the session. We stepped up the intervention by sending our girl to the center for small group therapy since Mar 2021. Kudos to the therapists in the center, as they helped my girl to get used to the environment, mingling with other children and doing tasks either individually or within the small group. Alex also offered Shadow therapy for our girl when we enrol her to the childcare center. Having the shadow therapist is reassuring to have updates on how our girl was coping with the other kids in the childcare environment. All the improvements on speech, social interaction and motor skills for our girl, would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment from Alex and the therapists. A preschool principal highly recommended Alex to us. So I contacted him and he responded promptly. He himself went to our home to assess my little boy. He was punctual, professional and very friendly. Fast forward, my son to date has shown great improvement focus-wise and compliance-wise. He's also shown initiative and willingness to independently do tasks. We are happy to see the improvements in our boy in just a short time. We appreciated Teacher William's patience, warm but firm approach in teaching and guiding our boy. We look forward to the next few months. My daughter started the weekly social skill class since Jan 2025. We have seen her initiating conversations and play more independently with both adults and children. Her teachers in her preschool have also feedback that she is more participative and engaged in class activities. All the teachers in NurturePods show patience, expertise, and enthusiasm that made learning effectively. They also provide personalized attention and feedback as well as flexible scheduling. Mr Alex has helped us on facilitating enrollment of my son into P1. Really appreciate it. Highly recommend this centre if your children is facing any learning difficulties. After an assessment with the clinical director Alex, our preschool son had one-to-one home therapy with Teacher Xue Er for almost a year. We see great improvements in him in terms of his attention span, work habits and his task avoidance behaviour. Xue Er understood our son's behaviours well and was able to guide him through the 2-hour lessons smoothly, something that we could not do for even half an hour. She was patient, firm but not fierce, encouraging, and made the lessons fun for him. Detailed updates were written for us after each lesson. She also taught us the techniques and gave us good advice to help us manage his behaviours when we felt it was ok for us to take over teaching him at home. Thank you both Alex and Xue Er!

We’ve been sending our 2.5-year-old son to Nurture pods for the past few months, and the improvement we’ve seen has been truly encouraging. he’s more engaged, and he follows instructions much better than before. My 2 children were diagnosed with ASD since they were 3 yo. The services they provided us included social skills classes, early intervention and shadow teaching. They have a good network of therapists to ensure that our children attains their goals. Through Alex and Yong Hau’s careful care and supervision with their team of passionate and dedicated staff, my children have improved tremendously. Today, one is in mainstream and the other in a SPED school and they always look forward to their sessions there. Early intervention is always the key.

Teacher William is a very patient teacher to my child, Jenson throughout all the sessions. He will tell parent on the ways that he did in the session to make him have better focus and writes detailed write-up on my child's progress at the end of lesson. My 18 months old child shows improvement on the 4th lesson with better behaviour, less crankiness compared to 1st lesson, longer attention span and able to sit still on the chair longer to complete most of the activities himself without any food rewards on the 4th session! 🙂

When my son was 2, he had speech delay and some mild sensory issues. We started early intervention at a well-known center in Bukit Merah, with both speech and occupational therapy. But even after a year, progress was very slow. Most improvements came from the 1:1 therapy sessions rather than the school program, even though we were paying more than $4,000 a month. One of his classmates, who was in a similar situation, moved to Nurture Pods on the advice of a doctor and did really well. Based on her recommendation, I contacted Mr. Alex. He was very proactive, professional, and arranged to meet my son Asher within the same week. Asher started Nurture Pods last June, and since then his progress has been steady and consistent. He has learned colours, numbers, labelling, categorisation, and much more. Now he can read and write simple words (CVCV) and even do basic addition. We are now preparing to move him into a mainstream kindergarten—a milestone we weren’t sure he would reach so soon. What touched us most is that Alex is also helping us find the right kindergarten for Asher, really going the extra mile for our family. I’m truly grateful to Alex and the Nurture Pods team for their dedication and support. They have played a big part in Asher’s journey, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress he has made. I highly recommend the Nurture Pods. Its an excellent learning environment, high-quality teachers, and they know what the kids need. Before Behavioral Therapy at Nurture Pods with Dr Alex ,our son Choji who is autistic faced significant challenges in engaging with traditional learning methods. He struggled to focus on schoolwork unless it was presented through cartoons, and even then, his interest was limited to very specific topics. Thankfully, we observed some innovative teaching techniques used by his therapists that helped calm him and capture his attention. The use of picture cards was a breakthrough; it allowed Choji to connect everyday concepts like meals, bathroom needs, and simple instructions to visual cues. Initially, Choji was non-verbal, so the therapy sessions were predominantly led by therapists who did most of the talking. However, as Choji became more comfortable and able to concentrate, they encouraged him to vocalize thoughts, recognize letters, objects, and colors, and express himself beyond the few words he was accustomed to using. We were also given clear progress steps and goals to work towards which was a great motivation to us doing the home therapy sessions as well for consistency. As therapy progressed, we saw a remarkable transformation in Choji’s social interactions. He began to interact more freely with other children on the playground, and we received glowing reports from his school about his newfound ability to share and show compassion towards younger classmates and his new sibling. His successful transition to group therapy sessions was a significant milestone. Thanks to his therapy, Choji is not only more at ease socially but also more engaged and expressive and academically progressed normally like he would have like a typical child of his age than we ever hoped. We are deeply grateful for the support and dedication of Dr Alex and his dedicated team who have made such a profound difference in his life and ours.

I met Alex recently, the director of Nuture pods recently. They have an amazing team and able to cater to the individual needs of the child. They build confidence in parents as well about how we need address our children at home and to manage their behaviour issues based on some strategies. Xue Er Maam is our teacher she has a great bonding with my child and able to execute all home based activities.
